2 Months Old!

Gavin had his 2 month check up yesterday. He is now 11 lb 13 oz and 22 1/2" long. So he's grown 4 inches since birth! He had his first shots, which I think hurt me more than him. He gets cuter everyday. He's started to find his voice and pretty soon he'll be rolling over. It's going so fast already. He has just now started to smile back at us and he's having a blast playing. He loves to be naked. I think he poops just to get naked sometimes. He smiles and giggles whenever he gets stripped down. We got a video camera but I haven't been able to figure out how to get them uploaded. My PC is not cooperating, so I'll have to try Shannon's sometime.

I'm a slacker

I've been a big slacker and haven't update this in forever! I do have the excuse of a new baby and no sleep, but I'm going to make an effort to get this updated. I'll also have to try to fix all the pictures from prev. entries. I tried to organize photobucket and in so doing I screwed up all the blogs. Whoops.

Quick recap of recent events:

Water broke on Friday, Jan. 2nd about 10 am. I felt little gushes and figured I'd wait until some contractions kicked in to worry about it. Well they never came so I eventually called the OB. Went in @ 1:15 and was sent to L&D. They put me on Pitocin and cranked it up to the max of 30 fairly quickly. I never really did get painful contractions. After a long day of waiting (12+ hours!), the Dr. finally checked me and I was still 2 cm and going nowhere fast. We decided it was time for a c-section and Gavin was born at 2:41 am on January 3rd! He was 7 lb 9 oz and 18 1/2 inches long. It took several hours for me to feel my legs again after the spinal. I hated it. It made me shake and it was pretty miserable. We left the hospital on a Tuesday and I spent the rest of the week crying on and off. Hormones stink! After about 2 weeks of an emotional rollercoaster, it leveled out and now we're great!

Gavin went to his 1 month check up and weight 9 lb 13 oz! He also gained 2 inches! Wow! We haven't had any shots yet, we go on March 5th for his 2 month check up and I think he starts them then. We are slowly starting to get on a schedule. I've started putting him to bed sleepy, but not asleep, and that has really helped! He puts him self to sleep and that will pay off big time when he's older!

Will try to update again soon....We just got a video camera so hopefully we'll get some great videos of little man too!
